About Victoria

Victoria Alonsoperez is a Uruguayan inventor, an innovator, and the Founder of Chipsafer, based in Singapore.

She holds a degree in Electrical, Electronics, and Communications Engineering from Universidad de la República, Uruguay. Her further education includes the Space Studies Program at the International Space University in Austria (2011) and participation in Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Center in California, USA (2013).

As a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, she completed several executive education modules: at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government in the USA (2022), Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (2023), and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong (2024).

Victoria has extensive global business experience across 40 countries, and has lived in Uruguay, Brazil, USA (Florida, Colorado, New York), and Singapore. Victoria has established companies as a major shareholder in Uruguay, Brazil, and Singapore. In her role as CEO of Chipsafer, she has personally developed technology projects in a range of remote rural areas across Kenya, Namibia, Brazil, Uruguay, USA, and Australia.

Her prior roles have included:

  • Digital Innovation Lead at Airbus (where she led the creation of the Agriculture Digital Platform, AgNeo)

  • Special Advisor to the President of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF)

  • Board Member of the Space Foundation

  • Chair of the Space Generation Advisory Council (a global NGO supporting the UN Programme on Space Applications).

  • Teaching Associate with the Space Engineering Department.

While she was attending the International Space University, she co-designed a medical experiment for astronauts that won the Barcelona ZeroG Challenge.

She is a United Nations ‘Young Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals’, an International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) ‘Small Business Champion’, and a World Economic Forum (WEF) ‘Young Global Leader’. She has a passion for space, and her expertise includes satellite technology & applications, deep tech, the internet of things, sustainability, agriculture technology, impact innovation, and neurodiversity.

Victoria has High Functioning Autism, and a passion for the advocacy of neurodiversity.

Chipsafer’s platform offers real-time animal tracking and captures current and historic health, behaviour and transaction information. Chipsafer empowers farmers by using technology to increase the efficiency and sustainability of operations, improve animal health monitoring, reduce operational costs and make better use of natural resources.

Chipsafer's tracking platform has been acquired by NuSpace Pte. Ltd. in September 2024.
